He has prosecuted and applied for patents for numerous companies, including PARC (Palo Alto Research Center Inc.), Sun Microsystems Inc., Oracle Corp., Google Inc., Apple Inc. and Synopsys Inc..

Mr. Prieditis is the author of dozens of refereed conference and journal publications in artificial intelligence, machine learning, search, machine discovery and simulation-based optimization.

While teaching at UC Davis, Mr. Prieditis secured more than $1.5 million in research funding from the National Science Foundation, the National Security Agency, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Mr. Prieditis also secured a Small Business Innovation Research Award from the National Science Foundation.

Personal interests and activities
Mr. Prieditis enjoys long-distance hiking, surfing, writing, literature, and almost anything tropical. On occasion he has been known to cook multi-day dishes.
